The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (Department of Commerce), Directorate General of Foreign Trade, issued Notification No. 23/2025-26 on June 30, 2025, extending the Minimum Import Price (MIP) condition on the import of Soda Ash. In exercise of powers conferred by Sections 3 and 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act, 1992, read with paragraphs 1.02 and 2.01 of the Foreign Trade Policy 2023, and in continuation of Notification No. 46/2024-25 dated December 30, 2024, the Central Government extended the MIP condition. This extension applies to three HS Codes of Soda Ash (Disodium carbonate): 28362010, 28362020, and 28362090, which fall under Chapter 28 of the ITC (HS), 2022, Schedule-I (Import Policy). The extension is for a period of six months, effective from July 1, 2025, up to December 31, 2025. The Minimum Import Price (MIP) is set at Rs. 20.108 per MT for imported Disodium Carbonate (Soda Ash). This notification was issued with the approval of the Minister of Commerce & Industry.

Effect of the Notification: Minimum Import Price (MIP) @ Rs. 20.108 per MT on import of Disodium Carbonate (Soda Ash) has been extended upto 31.12.2025.
