NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 24th April, 2025
G.S.R. 284(E).— WHEREAS the draft of certain rules further to amend the Explosives
Rules, 2008, were published, vide notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of
Commerce and Industry (Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade) number, G.S.R. 30
(E), dated the13th January, 2025 in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part-II, Section 3, Sub-section
(i), inviting objections or suggestions from all persons likely to be affected thereby before the expiry of
a period of thirty days from the date on which the copies of the Gazette containing the said notification
were made available to the public;
AND WHEREAS the copies of the said Gazette notification were made available to the public on the
13th January, 2025;
AND WHEREAS no objection or suggestions were received from the public within the said period;
NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 5 of the Explosives Act, 1884 (4
of 1884), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Explosives
Rules, 2008, namely:-

(1) These rules may be called the Explosives (Amendment) Rules, 2025.
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
In rule 106 of the Explosives Rules, 2008, herein after referred to as the said rules, the clause (3)
shall be omitted;

In rule 112 of the said rules, -
(a) in sub-rule (1), for the words “five financial years", the words "ten financial years” shall be
substituted;
(b) in sub-rule (8), for the words “five years” the words “ten years” shall be substituted.
