The Ministry of Corporate Affairs, through Notification S.O. 3975(E) dated 27th August, 2025, announced the Central Government's exercise of powers conferred by sub-section (3) of section 132 of the Companies Act, 2013 (18 of 2013), to appoint officers to the National Financial Reporting Authority. These appointments are effective from 23rd July, 2025 (forenoon), for a period of three years or until the incumbent attains the age of sixty-five years, whichever is earlier. The appointed officers are Shri Nitin Gupta as Chairperson, and Ms. Smita Jhingran, Shri P. Daniel, and Shri Sushil Kumar Jaiswal as Full-Time Members. The terms and conditions of their service are governed by the National Financial Reporting Authority (Manner of Appointment and other Terms and Conditions of Service of Chairperson and Members) Rules, 2018.
