EXTRAORDINARY PART II —Section 3 —Sub-section ( i) PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 453] NEW DELHI , TUESDAY , AUGUST 1, 2023/ SHRAVANA 10, 1945 CG-DL-E-01082023-247768 MINISTRY OF FINANCE (DEPARTMENT OF REVENUE) (CENTRAL BOARD OF INDIRECT TAXES AND CUSTOMS) NOTIFICATION New Delhi the 1st August , 2023 G.S.R. 580(E).— In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to article 309 of the Constitution, the President hereby makes the following rules to amend the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs Directorates Executive Assistant (Group 'B', Non -Gazetted, Ministerial Posts) R ecruitment Rules, 2022, namely: - 1. Short title and commencement. - (1) These rules may be called the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs Directorates Executive Assistant (Group 'B', Non -Gazetted, Ministerial Posts) (Amendment) Recruitment Rules, 2023. (2) They shall come into force with effect from the 31st day of October, 2022. 2. In the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs Directorates Executive Assistant (Group B, Non -Gazetted, Ministerial Posts) Recruitment Rule, 2022, in the Schedule, in Column (11), for the Note, the following Note shall be substituted, namely, - “Note: Where juniors who have completed their qualifying or eligibility service are being considered for promotion, their seniors shall also be considered provided they are no t short of the requisite qualifying or eligibility service by more than half of such qualifying or eligibility service or two years, whichever is less, and have successfully completed their probation period for promotion to the next higher grade along with their juniors who have already completed such qualifying or eligibility service”. Explanatory : Memorandum: This amendment is proposed to be given retrospective effect from the 31st day of October, 2022, being the date on which the principal notification has come into force. It is certified that no person is being adversely affected by granting retrospective effect to this notification.
