NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 30th April, 2025
S.R.O. 8(E)- In exercise of powers conferred by the proviso to article 309 of the Constitution, the President
hereby make the following rules further to amend the Canteen Stores Department, Ministry of Defence (Group- `A` and
`B` posts) Recruitment Rules, 1979, namely: -
1. (1) These rules may be called the Canteen Stores Department, Ministry of Defence (Group- `A` and `B` posts)
Recruitment (Amendment) Rules, 2025.
(2) They Shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
2. In the Canteen Stores Department, Ministry of Defence (Group `A` and `B` posts) Recruitment Rules, 1979,
(hereinafter referred to as the principal rules), for rule 4, the following rule shall be substituted, namely: -
"4. Number of posts, classification, and level in pay matrix. - The number of said posts, their
classification and level in the pay matrix attached thereto, shall be as specified in columns (3) to (5) of
the aforesaid Schedule."
3. In the Schedule to the principal rules,-
(a) against serial number 2, relating to the post of Joint General Manager and Vice Chairman, Board of
Administration, in column (5), for the column heading and the entries relating thereto, the following
column heading and entries shall be substituted, namely: -

(b) against serial number 5, relating to the post of Deputy General Manager (Management Services),-

(ii) in column (12), for the words and figures “the pay scale of Rs 1100-1600”, the words, figures and

(c) against serial number 6, relating to the post of Deputy General Manager (Finance and Accounts),-
(i) in column (5), for the column heading and the entries relating thereto, the following column
heading and entries shall be substituted, namely: -

(d) against serial number 8, relating to the post of Assistant General Manager/ Manager Selection Grade, in
column (5), for the column heading and the entries relating thereto, the following column heading and
entries shall be substituted, namely: -

(iii) in column (12), for the brackets and figures "(Rs 700-1300)", the words, figures and brackets
"level 10 (Rs 56100- 177500) in the pay matrix” shall be substituted;
(f) against serial number 10, relating to the post of Assistant General Manager (Estate and Training), in
column (5), for the column heading and the entries relating thereto, the following column heading and
entries shall be substituted, namely: -

(h) against serial number 12, relating to the post of Manager Grade I/ Section Officer, in column (5), for the
column heading and the entries relating thereto, the following column heading and entries shall be
substituted, namely: -

Note.- The principal rules were published, vide notification number S.R.O 64 dated the 15th February, 1979 in the
Gazette of India, Part II, Section 4 and was last amended, vide notification number S.R.O 359 dated the
20th December, 1989.
