Detailed Summary

The Ministry of Labour and Employment, through a notification dated 30th April, 2025, announces that the Central Government, in exercise of powers conferred by sub-section (3) of section 1 of the Employees' State Insurance Act, 1948 (34 of 1948), has appointed the 1st day of May, 2025, as the date on which several provisions of the said Act shall come into force. These provisions include sections 38 to 43, sections 45A to 45H, sections 46 to 75, sub-sections (2) to (4) of section 76, and sections 82 and 83. This implementation will cover the entire area of the Hingoli and Nandurbar districts located in the State of Maharashtra.
