Core Purpose

Amends the Customs (Import of Goods at Concessional Rate of Duty or for Specified End Use) Rules, 2022, substituting 'monthly' with 'quarterly' and 'six months' with 'one year' in specified rules and forms.

Detailed Summary

This notification from the Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue, introduces the Customs (Import of Goods at Concessional Rate of Duty or for Specified End Use) Amendment Rules, 2025, effective from February 2nd, 2025. The amendment modifies the principal rules of 2022 by replacing the terms 'monthly' and 'month' with 'quarterly' and 'quarter', and 'six months' with 'one year' across Rules 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, and Form IGCR-3. This change effectively alters the periodicity of certain requirements under these rules from a monthly to a quarterly basis, and from six-monthly to annual basis.
