The Ministry of Textiles, through Notification S.O. 6140(E) dated 31st December, 2025, announced the nomination of Mrs. Guha Poonam Tapas Kumar, IAS, Commissioner-cum-Secretary, Handlooms, Textiles & Handicrafts Department, Government of Odisha, to serve as a Member of the Central Silk Board. This nomination is made by the Central Government in exercise of powers conferred by sub-section (3) of Section 4 of the Central Silk Board Act, 1948 (61 of 1948). Mrs. Kumar is nominated on the recommendation of the Government of Odisha under Section 4(3)(i) of the Act. Her tenure as a member will be for a period of three years from the date of this notification, subject to the provisions of the Act. The notification was signed by Padmini Singla, Joint Secretary.
