L.-33004/99 The Gazette of India CG-CG-E-24072026-274759 EXTRAORDINARY PART II—Section 3—Sub-section (ii) PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 3835] NEW DELHI, WEDNESDAY, JULY 22, 2026/ASHADHA 31, 1948 MINISTRY OF RAILWAYS South East Central Railway NOTIFICATION Bilaspur, the 21st July, 2026 Notice under Section 20E of the Railway Act, 1989 S.O. 4005(E).—Whereas, by the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Railways (South East Central Railway), number S.O. 2173 (E),dated 29th April 2026 the published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part-ii, section 3, Sub-section (ii), and issued under sub- section (1) of section 20A of the Railways Act, 1989 (24 of 1989) (herein after referred as the said Act), the Central Government declared its intention to acquire the land in the schedule annexed to the said notification for the purpose of execution, maintenance, management and operation of the Special Railway Project namely, construction of "Dagori to Nipania 4th line (6.86 km)" of South East Central Railway in Baloda Bazar-Bhatapara District in the state of Chhattisgarh, hereby declares its intention to acquire such land. And whereas, the substance of the said notification has been published in the daily local news papers namely, Navbharat (Raipur Edition), Nai Duniya (Raipur Edition) & Times of India (Raipur Edition), of dated 15.05.2026, under sub-section (4) of section 20A of the said Act, And whereas, no objection has been received by the Competent Authority; And whereas, in pursuance of sub-section (1) of section 20E of the said Act, the Competent Authority has submitted its report to the Central Government. Now therefore, upon receipt of the report of the Competent Authority and in exercise of the powers conferred by sub- section (1) of section 20E of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that the land specified in the Schedule annexed hereto shall be acquired for the aforesaid purpose. And further, in the pursuance of sub-section (2) of section 20E of the said Act, the Central Govt. hereby declares that on publication of the notification in the Official Gazette, the land specified in the Schedule annexed hereto shall vest absolutely in the Central Government free from all encumbrances.
