L.-33004/99 The Gazette of India CG-CG-E-11042026-271738 EXTRAORDINARY PART II—Section 3—Sub-section (ii) PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 1770] NEW DELHI, FRIDAY, APRIL 10, 2026/CHAITRA 20, 1948 MINISTRY OF RAILWAYS (South East Central Railway) NOTIFICATION Bilaspur, the 10th April, 2026 NOTIFICATION UNDER SECTION 20E of THE RAILWAY ACT 1989 S.O. 1839(E). - Whereas by the notification of the Government of India, In the Ministry of Railways (Railway Board) number S.O. 939 (E), dated the 20.02.2026, published in the Gazette of India (Extra-Ordinary) Part- II section 3 sub section (ii), hereinafter referred toas the said notification) under subsection (1) of 20A of the railway act, 1989 (24 of 1989) (hereinafter referred to as the said Act),the central Government declared its intention to acquire the land specified in the schedule annexed to the said notification for execution of Special Railway Project, namely BHALUMUDA to GAREPELMA (17 km.) in the state of Chattisgarh. And, whereas the substance of the said notification No. 939 (E) was published in the daily Newspapers, Ispat Times (Hindi) Raigarh Edition on 27.02.2026 and Dainik Bhaskar (Hindi) Bilaspur Edition on 27.02.2026. And whereas, No objections were received within the set time period and disposed of by the Competent Authority under section 20D of the said act; And, whereas, in pursuance of subsection (1) of section 20E of the said act, the Competent Authority has submitted his report to the central Government; Now, therefore, upon receipt of the said report of the Competent Authority, and in exercise of the powers conferred by substation (1) of the section 20E of the said act 1989, the central Government hereby declares that the lands specified in the schedule annexed hereto shall be acquired for the aforesaid purpose; And, further, in pursuance of subsection (2) of section 20E of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that on publication of this notification in the official Gazette, the land specified in the Schedule annexed here to shall vest absolutely in the Central Government free from all Encumbrances.
