L.-33004/99 The Gazette of India CG-CG-E-08082026-275312 EXTRAORDINARY PART II—Section 3—Sub-section (ii) PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 4194] NEW DELHI, FRIDAY, AUGUST 7, 2026/SHRAVAN 16, 1948 2 THE GAZETTE OF INDIA : EXTRAORDINARY [PART II—SEC. 3(ii)] MINISTRY OF RAILWAYS (South East Central Railway) NOTIFICATION Bilaspur, the 5th August, 2026 Notice under Section 20E of the Railway Act, 1989 S.O. 4370(E).— Whereas, by the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Railways (South East Central Railway), number S.O. 2172 (E), dated 29th April 2026 the published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part-ii, section 3, Sub-section (ii), and issued under sub- section (1) of section 20A of the Railways Act, 1989 (24 of 1989) (herein after referred as the said Act), the Central Government declared its intention to acquire the land in the schedule annexed to the said notification for the purpose of execution, maintenance, management and operation of the Special Railway Project namely, construction of 4th line between Dadhapara-Bilaspur (3.48 Km) of South East Central Railway of Bilaspur District in the state of Chhattisgarh, hereby declares its intention to acquire such land. And whereas, the substance of the said notification has been published in the daily local news papers namely, Navbharat (Bilaspur Edition in Hindi), Dainik Bhaskar (Bilaspur Edition in Hindi) & The Hitavada (Raipur Edition), of dated 27.11.2025, under sub-section (4) of section 20A of the said Act, And whereas, no objection has been received by the Competent Authority; And whereas, in pursuance of sub-section (1) of section 20E of the said Act, the Competent Authority has submitted its report to the Central Government. Now therefore, upon receipt of the report of the Competent Authority and in exercise of the powers conferred by sub- section(1) of section 20E of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that the land specified in the Schedule annexed hereto shall be acquired for the aforesaid purpose. And further, in the pursuance of sub-section(2) of section 20E of the said Act, the Central Govt. hereby declares that on publication of the notification in the Official Gazette, the land specified in the Schedule annexed hereto shall vest absolutely in the Central Government free from all encumbrances.
