Railway) NOTIFICATION Bilaspur, the 12th January, 2024 NOTIFICATION UNDER SECTION 20 E of THE RAILWAY ACT 1989 S.O. 322(E).-Whereas by the notification of the Government of India, In the Ministry of Railways (Railway Board) Notification Number 4337, dated the 14 October. 2023, published in the Gazette of India Extraordinary, Part-II, section 3, sub-section (ii), (hereinafter referred to as the said notification) under sub-section (1) of 20A of the Railway Act 1989(24 of 1989) (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), the central Government declared its intention to acquire the land specified in the schedule annexed to the said notification for execution of Special Railway Project- Boridand- Surajpur doubling (79.90 Km.) (Pink Book No.-26 of 2020-21), in the state of Chhattisgarh. And, whereas the substance of notification No.4337 under sub-section (4) of section 20A of the said Act was published in the daily Newspapers, Navbharat, Bilaspur (Hindi)Edition on 02.11.2023 and Jashpuranchal, Raigarh(Hindi) Edition on 02.11.2023 and whereas no objections have been received within the specified period in the office of the competent authority. And whereas, in pursuance of subsection (1) of section 20E of the said act, the Competent Authority has submitted his report to the Central Government; Now, therefore, upon receipt of the said report of the Competent Authority, and in exercise of the powers conferred by subsection (1) of the section 20E of the Railway Act 1989, the central Government hereby declares that the lands specified in the schedule annexed hereto shall be acquired for the aforesaid purpose; and, further, in pursuance of subsection (2) of section 20E of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that on publication of this notification in the official Gazette, the land specified in the Schedule annexed hereto shall vest absolutely in the Central Government free from all encumbrances.
