                Detailed Summary
            

            
Notification S.O. 4270(E) dated 27 September 2024 (published 30 September 2024) recalls that under earlier notification S.O. 4418(E) dated 10 October 2023 (Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii)), issued under sub-section (1) of Section 20A of the Railways Act, 1989 (24 of 1989), the Central Government had declared its intention to acquire land for the Special Railway Project "Construction of 4th line between Rajnandgaon-Dongargarh (approx. 31.20 Km) Railway stations of Nagpur division over SEC Railway"; the substance of that notification was published in the newspapers Navbharat (Raipur Edition), Dainik Dawa (Rajnandgaon Edition) and Hitavada (Raipur Edition) on 21 October 2023 under Section 20A(4); no objections were received and the Competent Authority submitted its report under Section 20E(1); the Central Government now declares under Section 20E(1) that the scheduled land shall be acquired and under Section 20E(2) that on publication it vests absolutely in the Central Government free of all encumbrances; the Schedule lists specific khasra plots by owner in Aliwara village (total 0.100 hectare) and Musrakala village (total 0.113 hectare), Dongargarh Tehsil, District Rajnandgaon, Chhattisgarh.

NOTIFICATION
Bilaspur, the 27th September, 2024
Notice under Section 20E of the Railway Act, 1989

S.O. 4270(E).— Whereas, by the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Railways
(South East Central Railway), number S.O. 4418(E),dated10thOctober, 2023the published in the Gazette of
India, Extraordinary, Part-ii, section 3, Sub-section (ii), dated the 10th October, 2023and issued under sub-
section (1) of section 20A of the Railways Act, 1989 (24 of 1989) (herein after referred as the said Act), the
Central Government declared its intention to acquire the land in the schedule annexed to the said
notification for the purpose of execution, maintenance, management and operation of the Special Railway
Project namely "Construction of 4th line between Rajnandgaon-Dongargarh (approx. 31.20 Km) Railway
stations of Nagpur division over SEC Railway".

And whereas, the substance of the said notification has been published in the daily local newspapers,
namely, Navbharat (Raipur Edition), Dainik Dawa (Rajnandgaon Edition), Hitavada(Raipur Edition), of
dated 21st October 2023, under sub-section (4) of section 20A of the said Act,

And whereas, no objection has been received by the Competent Authority;

And whereas, in pursuance of sub-section (1) of section 20E of the said Act, the Competent
Authority has submitted its report to the Central Government.

Now therefore, upon receipt of the report of the Competent Authority and in exercise of the powers
conferred by sub- section (1) of section 20E of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that
the land specified in the Schedule annexed hereto shall be acquired for the aforesaid purpose.

And further, in the pursuance of sub-section (2) of section 20E of the said Act, the Central Govt.
hereby declares that on publication of the notification in the Official Gazette, the land specified in the
Schedule annexed hereto shall vest absolutely in the Central Government free from all encumbrances.
