The Ministry of Railways (East Central Railway) issued Notification S.O. 4571(E) on August 17, 2026, in Patna, declaring 37 Road Over Bridges (ROBs) within the Samastipur Division's jurisdiction as a Special Railway Project. This declaration was made in exercise of the power conferred by clause 37A of Section 2 of the Railway (Amendment) Act, 2008, following approval by the General Manager, East Central Railway. The projects involve the construction of ROBs and related works in lieu of existing Level Crossings (LCs) across various districts in the State of Bihar.
