L.-33004/99 The Gazette of India CG-BR-E-14052026-272536 EXTRAORDINARY PART II-Section 3-Sub-section (ii) PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 2161] | NEW DELHI, WEDNESDAY, MAY 6, 2026/VAISAKHA 16, 1948 (1) 2 THE GAZETTE OF INDIA : EXTRAORDINARY [PART II-SEC. 3(ii)] MINISTRY OF RAILWAYS (East Central Railway) NOTIFICATION Patna, the 6th May, 2026 S.O. 2250(E). -The Central Government, in exercise of the powers conferred by clause (1) of section 20A of the Railways Act, 1989 (24 of 1989) (hereinafter referred to as the said Act, being satisfied that the land, as brief description of which is set out in the Schedule annexed hereto, is required to be acquired for public purpose at Mauza- Pradhankhanta, Circle- Baliapur, District - Dhanbad in Jharkhand State for "Special Railway Project- Eastern Dedicated Freight Coridor" in connection with construction of Gomoh to Pradhankhanta section. The land left over under acquisition, which is required to be affected for construction, hereby declares its intention to acquire such land. Any person interested in the said land may, within a period of thirty days from the date of publication of this notification in the Official Gazette, object to the acquisition and use of such land for the aforesaid purpose under sub-section (1) of section 20D of the said Act. Every such objection shall be made in writing to the Competent Authority, that is, the District Land Acquisition Officer, Dhanbad and shall set out the grounds thereof and the Competent Authority shall give an opportunity of being heard to the objector either in person or through a legal practitioner and After hearing all such objections and making such further inquiry, if any, as the competent authority may consider necessary, he may, by order, either allow or disallow the objections.
