No. RGU/ADM-38/ORD/10 (Vol-II).—Under Clause 22 (1) of the Rajiv Gandhi University Act, 2006 (No. 8 of 2007) and Statute 10. (1) The Court shall consist of the following member, namely:- Eleven members of | (i) Chancellor the Court form a | (ii) Vice Chancellor quorum for a meeting | (iii) Pro-Vice-Chancellor of the Court | (iv) All Deans of Faculties | (v) All Professors | (vi) Dean of Students' Welfare | (vii) All Heads of Departments who are not Deans and Professors | (viii) Registrar | (ix) Finance Officer | (x) Controller of Examinations | (xi) Librarian | (xii) Proctor, if any | (xiii) Nominees of Vice Chancellor (2 members) | (xiv) Two Associate Professors who are not Head of the Departments by rotation on | the basis on seniority. | (xv) Three Principals of affiliated colleges by rotation, according to seniority which | shall be determined by the date of establishment of the college to be nominated | by the Vice-Chancellor. | (xvi) Two members of the Parliament out of which one is to be nominated by the | Speaker of the Lok Sabha and one by the Chairman of the Rajya Sabha. | However, in the event that a Member of Parliament becomes a Minister or | Speaker/Deputy Speaker/Lok Sabha, her/his nomination/election of the | Statutory Body hall be deemed to have been terminated. | (xvii) Three members of the Legislative Assembly shall be nominated by the Speaker | of the State Legislative Assembly of Arunachal Pradesh. | (xviii) Four members representing learned professions and special interests including | representatives of industry, commerce, trade union, banking and agriculture, to | be nominated by the Visitor. | (xix) One elected representative of the students of Rajiv Gandhi University Student | Union. | (xx) One elected representative of the Rajiv Gandhi University Teacher's | Association. | (xxi) One elected representative of the Rajiv Gandhi University Employees | Association. 1.4 All members of the Court other than Chancellor, Vice Chancellor, Pro-Vice Chancellor, Ex-Officio-Members, Members of the Students' Union, Teacher's Association and Non-Teaching Employees Association shall hold office for a term of three years. 1.5 Eleven members of the Court shall form a quorum for a meeting of the Court.
