The Ministry of Railways (South Coast Railway) issued Notification S.O. 4771(E) on August 25, 2026, declaring the acquisition and absolute vesting of specific lands in the Central Government, free from all encumbrances. This declaration is made under sub-section (1) and (2) of Section 20(E) of the Railway Act, 1989 (24 of 1989), for the purpose of constructing a Road Over Bridge (ROB) in lieu of Level Crossing (LC) No.376 in Prathipadu Village, Pentapadu Mandal, West Godavari District, Andhra Pradesh. This follows an earlier notification by the Government of India, Ministry of Railways (Railway Board), S.O. No.406(E), dated January 28, 2026, which declared the intention to acquire this land under sub-section (1) of section 20A of the Railway Act, 1989. An extract of the intention notification was published in The Deccan Chronicle and Sakshi Daily News Paper on May 22, 2026, with the approval of Sunil Kumar Varma, Chief Engineer, Construction-IV, South Central Railway, Vijayawada. The Competent Authority (LA) & Revenue Divisional Officer, Tadepalligudem Division, West Godavari District, reported no objections to the acquisition in Prathipadu Village. Upon receiving the Competent Authority's report, the Central Government proceeded with the final declaration. NOTIFICATION
Visakhapatnam, the 25th August, 2026

S.O. 4771(E).— Whereas, by the notification by Government of India, in the Ministry of Railways
(Railway Board), number S.O. No.406(E), dated 28.01.2026, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary,
Part-II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii), dated 28.01.2026 (hereinafter referred to as the said notification) and issued
under sub-section (1) of section 20A of the Railway Act, 1989 (24 of 1989), the Central Government declares its
intention to acquire the land specified in the schedule annexed to the said notification for the construction of Road
Over Bridge in lieu of Level Crossing (LC) No.376 in Prathipadu Village of Pentapadu Mandal in West
Godavari District, in the State of Andhra Pradesh.

And whereas an extract of this notification was published in the daily newspapers The Deccan Chronicle
and Sakshi Daily News Paper on 22 May, 2026 with the approval of Sunil Kumar Varma, Chief Engineer,
Construction-IV, South Central Railway, Vijayawada, under sub-section (1) of Section 20A of this Act.

And whereas, the Competent Authority (LA) & Revenue Divisional Officer, Tadepalligudem Division,
West Godavari District has reported that no objections were received for Prathipadu Village in Pentapadu
Mandal of Tadepalligudem Division, West Godavari District of Andhra Pradesh State.

And whereas, in pursuance of sub-section (1) of 20(E) of this Act, the Competent Authority has submitted its report to
the Central Government.

Now therefore, on receipt of the report of the Competent Authority and in exercise of the powers conferred
by sub-section (1) of Section 20(E) of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that the lands mentioned
in the Schedule have been annexed to be obtained here for the purpose mentioned above.

Further, in pursuance of sub-section (2) of section 20(E) of this Act, the Central Government, hereby declares
on publication of notification in the Official Gazette, that the land specified in the schedule annexed here to shall vest
absolutely in the Central Government is from all encumbrances.
