In exercise of the powers conferred by Clause 7A of Section 2 of the Railways (Amendment) Act, 2008, the Central Government hereby authorizes the officers mentioned in column (2) of the table below as "Competent Authority for Land Acquisition (CALA)” to perform the function as such authority underthe said Act with effect from the date of publication of this notification in the official Gazette in respect of SpecialRailway Project of "Construction of ROB in lieu of (i) L.C. No. 264 at Km 661/4-5 between Gonda Kachehri-Kathola, (ii) L.C. No. 261 at Km 658/9-10 between Gonda Kachehri -Gonda, (iii) L.C. No. 276 at Km 679/2-3 between Maijapur -Colonelganj, (iv) L.C. No. 280 at Km 684/6-7 between Maijapur -Colonelganj, (v) L.C. No. 282 at Km 686/4-5 Colonelganj Yard, (vi) L.C. No. 251 at Km 641/8-9 between Jhilahi –Motiganj Yard in Section Basti-Gonda, (vii) L.C. No. 269 at Km 671/2-3 between Maijapur -Kathola and (viii) L.C. No. 22 at Km 28/5-6 Katara Yard in Lucknow Division of N.E.Railway" in the states mentioned in column (4) and districts mentioned in column (3) of the said table for the public purpose of execution, maintenance, management and operation of such Special Railway Project.
