In exercise of the powers conferred by Clause 7A of Section 2 of the Railways (Amendment) Act, 2008, the Central Government hereby authorizes the officers mentioned in column (2) of the table below as "Competent Authority for Land Acquisition (CALA)” to perform the function as such authority under the said Act with effect from the date of publication of this notification in the official Gazette in respect of Special Railway Project of "Construction of ROB in lieu of (i) L.C. No. 51 at Km 74/0-1 between Risia-Matera Stations and (ii) L.C. No. 295 at Km 702/9-10 between Sarju-Jarwal Stations of the Lucknow Division of N.E. Railway” in the states mentioned in column (4) and districts mentioned in column (3) of the said table for the public purpose of execution, maintenance, management and operation of such Special Railway Project.
