W/Con/98/344/W -1/Pt.-1] Jh'k pUnz JhokLro ] eq[; iz'kklfud vf/[email protected] MINISTRY OF RAILWAY S (North Eastern Railway ) (OFFICE OF THE CHIEF ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER/CONSTRUCTION ) NOTIFICATION Gorakhpur , the 4th August , 2023 S.O. 3498(E).—Whereas, by the notification of the Government of India, in the Ministry of Railway (Railway Board), S.O. No 2240(E) dated 22thMay, 2023 published in Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part -II, Section 3, Sub Section (ii ) on dated 22thMay, 2023 (hereinafter referred to as the said notification) under sub -section (i) of section 20A of the Railways Act, 1989 (24 of 1989) (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), the Central Government, declared its intention to acquire the land specified in the Schedule annexed to the said notification for execution, maintenance and operation of the Special Railway Project Mau -Tarighat New Railway line Project 51 Km. Railway bridge with road in the District Ghazipur in the State of Utter Pr adesh; And, whereas, the substance of the said notification was published in the daily Hindi newspaper “ Dainik Jagran ” Varansi dated 08.06.2023& English newspaper“ Times of India ” Lucknow dated 08.06.2023 under sub - section (4) of section 20A of the said Act ; And, whereas, not a single objection received in the office of Competent Authority in prescribed period of 30 days from the publication in newspaper. And, whereas, in pursuance of sub -section (1) of section 20E of the said Act, the Competent Authority ha s submitted its report to the Central Government. Now, therefore, upon receipt of the report of the Competent Authority, namely, Additional District Magistrate, (Finance & Revenue), Ghazipur, Uttar Pra desh and in exercise of the powers conferred by sub -section (1) of section 20E of the Railways Act, the Central Government hereby declares that the land specified in the Schedule annexed hereto shall be acquired for the aforesaid purpose.
