The Ministry of Railways, North Western Railway (Engineering Department), through Notification S.O. 2073(E) dated April 13, 2026, and published on April 23, 2026, has exercised powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 20A of the Railway (Amendment) Act, 2008 (11 of 2008) and the Railways Act, 1989 (24 of 1989), to declare its intention to acquire land for a public purpose. This land is required for the "Proposed linear connectivity taking off from Kharia Khangar Railway Station upto M/s Marwar Cement Limited, Ghorawat, Gati Shakti Multi-Modal Cargo Terminal (District Nagaur & Jodhpur)" in the districts of Nagaur and Jodhpur in the State of Rajasthan. Any interested person may raise objections to this acquisition within thirty days from the notification's publication date to the competent authorities: Sub-Divisional Officer, Merta, District Nagaur, and Sub-Divisional Officer, Pipar City, District Jodhpur, Rajasthan. Objections must be in writing, stating grounds, and the objector will be granted a hearing opportunity. Any order made by the competent authority under sub-section (2) of Section 20D of the Railways Act shall be final. Land plans and details are available for inspection at the competent authority's offices. The total land to be acquired is 68.8082 hectares, comprising 48.4133 hectares from Pipar City Tehsil (Jodhpur District) across villages Ghorawat (11.0661 Ha), Khawaspura (18.5913 Ha), Madpuriya (8.7491 Ha), Palri Sidha (9.6160 Ha), and Khariya Khangar Junction (0.3908 Ha), and 20.3949 hectares from Merta Tehsil (Nagaur District) across villages Talanpur (16.3123 Ha) and Dhannapa (4.0826 Ha).

NOTIFICATION
Jaipur, the 13th April, 2026

S.O. 2073(E).— In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 20A of the Railway
(Amendment) Act, 2008 (11 of 2008) and Railways Act, 1989 (24 of 1989) (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), the
Central Government, after being satisfied that for the public purpose, the land, the brief description of which is given in
the schedule annexed hereto, is required for the execution, maintenance, management and operation of the Special
Railway Project namely, "Proposed linear connectivity taking off from Kharia Khangar Railway Station upto M/s
Marwar Cement Limited, Ghorawat, Gati Shakti Multi-Modal Cargo Terminal (District Nagaur & Jodhpur)" in district
Nagaur & Jodhpur of the State of Rajasthan., hereby declares its intention to acquire such land;

Any person interested in the said land may, within a period of thirty days from the date of publication of this
notification in the Official Gazette, raise objection to the acquisition and use of such land for the aforesaid purpose
under sub-section (1) of section 20D of the said Act;

Every such objection shall be made to the competent authority, namely, Sub-Divisional Officer, Merta, District
Nagaur & Sub-Divisional Officer, Pipar City, District Jodhpur, Rajasthan in writing and shall set out the grounds thereof,
and the competent authority shall give the objector an opportunity of being heard, either in person or through a legal
practitioner and may after hearing all such objections and after making such further enquiry, if any, as the competent
authority thinks necessary by order either allow or disallow the objections;

Any order made by the competent authority under sub-section (2) of Section 20D of the said Act shall be final;

The land plans and other details of the land covered under this notification are available and can be inspected
by the interested person at the aforesaid office of the competent authority.
