L.-33004/99 The Gazette of India CG-RJ-E-13052026-272498 EXTRAORDINARY PART II-Section 3-Sub-section (ii) PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 2303] NEW DELHI, TUESDAY, MAY 12, 2026/VAISAKHA 22, 1948 3352 GI/2026 MINISTRY OF RAILWAYS [North Western Railway (Construction Organization)] NOTIFICATION Jaipur, the 12th May, 2026 S.O. 2395(E).—Whereas by the notification of the Government of India, in the Ministry of Railways (Railway Board), number S.O. 688 E dated 10 February 2026 published in Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section-3, Sub section (ii) (hereinafter referred to as the said notification), under sub section (i) of section 20A of the Railway Act, 1989 (24 of 1989) and Railway (Amendment) Act, 2008 (11 of 2008) (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), the Central Government declared its intention to acquire the land specified in the Special Railway Project, namely, Doubling between Lalgarh and Bikaner East (11.085 km) of Bikaner Division of North Western Railway in District Bikaner the state of Rajasthan. And, whereas, the substance of the said notification was published in daily newspapers namely "Rajasthan Patrika" and "Danik Bhaskar" dated 20 February, 2026 under sub-section (4) of section 20A of the said act; And, whereas, objections received within the stipulated time period were resolved by the Competent Authority and accordingly. And, whereas, in pursuance of sub-section (1) of section 20E of the said Act, the Competent Authority has submitted its report to the Central Government. Now therefore, upon receipt of the said report of the Competent Authority, and in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 20E of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that the lands specified in the schedule annexed hereto shall be acquired for the aforesaid purpose; And, further, in pursuance of sub-section (2) of section 20E of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that on publication of this notification in the Official Gazette, the land specified in the Schedule annexed here to shall vest absolutely in the Central Government free from all encumbrances.
