NOTIFICATION
Indore, the 10th October, 2024
F. No. MPGB/HO/HRD/2041/Service(Amendment)/2024.—In exercise of the powers conferred by section
30 read with sub-section (1) of section 17 of the Regional Rural Banks Act, 1976 (21 of 1976) the Board of Directors
of Madhya Pradesh Gramin Bank after consultation with Bank Of India being the Sponsor Bank and the National
Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development and with the previous sanction of the Central Government hereby makes
the following regulations to further amend the Madhya Pradesh Gramin Bank (Officers and Employees) Service
Regulation, 2010 namely: -
(1) These regulations may be called Madhya Pradesh Gramin Bank (Officers and Employees) Service
(Amendment) Regulations, 2024.
(2)They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
(2) In the Madhya Pradesh Gramin Bank (Officers and Employees) Service Regulations, 2010 (hereinafter referred
to as said regulations), in the regulations 61 for sub-regulation (4), the following sub-regulation shall be
substituted, namely:-
"(4) Privilege Leave may be accumulated up to not more than 270 days, except where leave has been
applied for and it has been refused:
Provided that encashment of Privilege Leave shall be restricted up to a maximum of 240 days."
(3) In the said regulations, in regulation 67,-
(a) In second proviso, after the words "retires from the service of the Bank", the words "under the
provisions of regulation 11" shall be inserted;
(b) For third Proviso, the following proviso shall be substituted, namely:-
"Provided also that in respect of the employee where his services are terminated owing to retrenchment,
he shall be eligible to be paid a sum equivalent to the emoluments for the period of privilege leave
he had accumulated subject to sub-regulation (4) of regulation 61."
(c) After third proviso, the following provisos shall be inserted, namely,-
"Provided also that where an officer or employee voluntarily retires from service on or after the 1st of
April 2018, after giving due notice under sub regulations (1) and (2) of regulation 27 of the Madhya Pradesh
Gramin Bank (Employees') Pension Regulations, 2018, he shall be eligible to be paid a sum equivalent to the
emoluments for the period of privilege leave he had accumulated, subject to sub-regulation (4) of regulation 61.
Provided also that where an officer or employee has been compulsorily retired including as a measure of
punishment, he shall be eligible to be paid a sum equivalent to the emoluments of any period, subject to sub-
regulation (4) of regulation 61.
Provided also that where an officer or employee leaves or discontinues from service or resigns under the
provisions of sub-regulation (1) of regulation 10, he shall be eligible to be paid a sum equivalent to the emoluments
in respect of privilege leave to the extent of half of such leave to his credit on the date of cessation of service,
subject to a maximum of 120 days."
