8392 GI/202 4 (1) EXTRAORDINARY PART II —Section 3 —Sub-section ( ii) PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 5196] NEW DELHI, FRIDAY , DECEMBER 27, 2024/ PAUSHA 6, 1946 3, 194 6 CG-MH-E-31122024-259729 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 MIN ISTRY OF RAILWAYS (Western Railway ) NOTIFICATION Mumbai, the 2 4th Decembe r, 2024 S.O. 5616(E).—Whereas, by the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Railways (Western Railway ), number S.O. 4789 (E), dated 24th October , 202 4 published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub -Section (ii), dated the 4th November , 2024 and issued under the sub -section(1) of section 20A of the Railways Act, 1989 (24 of 1989) (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), the Central Government declared its intention to acquire the land specified in the schedule annexed to the said notificati on for execution, maintenance, management and operation of a Special Railway Project namely, Quadrupling of Virar -Dahanu Corridor on Wester n Railway, of MUTP III Projects in the district of Palghar in the State of Maharashtra; And whereas, the substance of the said notification has been published in the daily local newspapers namely, “The Free Press Journal ” (English) , dated the 10th November , 202 4 and “Lokmat ” (Marathi) dated the 10th November , 2024 under the sub -section (4) of section 20A of the said Act; And whereas, no objections were received by the Competent Authority; And whereas, in pursuance of sub -section (1) of section 20E of the said Act, the Competent Authority has submitted its report to the Central Government; Now therefore, upon receipt of th e report of the Central Authority and in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section(1) of section 20E of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that the lands specified in the schedule annexed hereto shall be acquired for the aforesaid p urpose; And further, in pursuance of sub -section(2) of Section 20E of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that on publication of this notification in the Official Gazette, the land specified in the schedule annexed hereto shall vest absolu tely in the Central Government free from all encumbrances.
