L.-33004/99 The Gazette of India CG-MH-E-17022024-252212 EXTRAORDINARY PART II-Section 3-Sub-section (ii) PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 733] NEW DELHI, SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 17, 2024/MAGHA 28, 1945 THE GAZETTE OF INDIA : EXTRAORDINARY [PART II-SEC. 3(ii)] MINISTRY OF RAILWAYS (Central Railway) NOTIFICATION Mumbai, the 16th February, 2024 (Addendum required in already published E-Gazette Notification No. 240822) S.O. 769(E).—Whereas, by the notification of the Government of India, in the Ministry of Railways (Railway Board), number, S.O 5652 (E) dated the 5th December 2022 published in Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, section 3 Sub-section (ii), dated the 30th November 2022 (hereinafter referred to as the said notification ) and issued under sub-section (1) of section 20 (A) of the Railway Act, 1989 (24 of 1989) and Railway (Amendment) Act, 2008 (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), the Central Government declares its intention to acquire the land specified in the schedule annexed to the said notification for the purpose of execution, maintenance, management and operation of Special Railway Project, namely “Baramati – Lonand Via Phaltan New Broad-Gauge Line" Project in the district of Satara in the State of Maharashtra. Any person interested in the said land may, within a period of thirty days from the date of publication of this notification in the Official Gazette, raise objection to the acquisition and use of such land for the aforesaid purpose under sub-section (1) of section 20D of the said Act. Each such objection shall in writing to the competent authority i.e. the competent authority shall be determined by the Sub Divisional Officer Phaltan, Maharashtra and the grounds within it and the competent authority shall give the objector the opportunity of being heard, either in person or by legal practitioner and may, after hearing such objections and after making such further enquiry, if any, as the Competent Authority thinks necessary, by order, either allow or disallow the objections. Any order made by the Competent Authority under sub-section (2) of section 20D of the said Act shall be final. The land plans and other details of the land covered under this notification are available and can be inspected by the interested person at the aforesaid office of the Competent Authority.
