The notification specifies that the average CRR required to be maintained by every bank will be 4.25 percent of its net demand and time liabilities effective from the reporting fortnight beginning December 14, 2024. Subsequently, this ratio will be revised to 4.00 percent of net demand and time liabilities effective from the fortnight commencing December 28, 2024. This notification is issued under the powers vested in RBI by the Reserve Bank Act, 1934 and the Banking Regulation Act, 1949.
