In exercise of the powers conferred by section 21 of the Control of National Highways (Land and Traffic) Act, 2002 (13 of 2003), the Central Government hereby delegates the powers exercisable by it under the provisions of the said Act mentioned in column (3) of the Table shall also be exercised by the officer appointed by the notification of the Government of India, Ministry of Road Transport and Highways vide number S.O. 4814(E), dated the 21.10.2025 and mentioned in column (2) of the said Table, subject to the following conditions, namely:- (i) that the Central Government may revoke such delegation of powers or may itself exercise the powers under the said sections, if in its opinion, such course of action is necessary in the public interest; (ii) in the exercise of such powers, the said officers shall comply with such general or special directions, the Central Government may issue from time to time.
