Anandan, Additional Secretary, Department of Expenditure, Ministry of Finance, as a Member of the University Grants Commission. This appointment is made by the Central Government in exercise of powers conferred by clause (a) of sub-section (3) of section 5 read with clause (c) of sub-section (1) of section 6 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 (3 of 1956). The appointment is effective immediately for a term of three years or until he holds the office of Additional Secretary, Department of Expenditure, Ministry of Finance, or until further orders, whichever is the earliest.
