                Detailed Summary
            

            
The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, vide S.O. 3717(E) dated 29th August 2024, in exercise of powers under sub-section (1) of section 3 of the Petroleum and Minerals Pipelines (Acquisition of Right of User in Land) Act, 1962 (50 of 1962), declares the Central Government's intention to acquire the Right of User in land in Purba Medinipur district, West Bengal, for transportation of LPG via the Haldia-Panagarh Pipeline to be laid by Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited, covering numerous plots across mouzas in the Sutahata, Nanda Kumar, Tamluk and Panskura police stations/blocks as detailed in the annexed Schedule; interested persons may object in writing within twenty-one days of the Gazette's availability to the Competent Authority, Haldia-Panagarh LPG Pipeline Project, Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited, located at Dhanberia, Post Anantapur, District Purba Medinipur, West Bengal - 721635, signed by S. S. Singh, Under Secretary [F. NOTIFICATION
New De lhi, the  29th August, 2024
S.O. 3 717(E).—Whereas, it appears to the Central Government that it is necessary in the public interest that
for the transportation of LPG, Haldia – Panagarh (West Bengal) Pipeline should be laid by Hindustan Petroleum
Corporation Limited.
And whereas, it appears to the Central Government that for the purpose of laying the said pipeline, it is
necessary to acquire the Right of User in the land under which the said pipeline is proposed to be laid at Purba
Medinipur in West Bengal State, which is described in the Schedule annexed to this notification.
Now, therefore in exercise of the powers conferred by sub -section (1) of section 3 of the Petroleum and
Minerals Pipelines (Acquisition of Right of User in Land) Act, 1962 (50 of 1962), the Central Government hereby
declares its intention to acquire the right of user therein;
Any person interested in the land described in the said schedule may, within twenty one days from the date
on which the copies of the Gazette of India containing this notification are made available to the general public, object
in writing to the acquisition of the right of user therein for laying of the pipeline under the land to The Competent
Authority, Haldia -Panagarh LPG Pipeline Project, Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited, Government of India
Enterprises, Dhanberia, Post: Anantapur, District: Purba Medinipur, West Bengal - 721635.
