Flextronics Technologies India Private Limited, had proposed under section 3 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 (28 of 2005), (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) to set up a Special Economic Zone for Information Technology and Information Technology Enabled Services / Electronic Components & Hardware Manufacturing & Related Services Special Economic Zone at Plot No.3. Phase-II, SIPCOT Industrial Park, Sandavellore C, Sriperumbudur, Kanchipuram, in the State of Tamil Nadu; AND, WHEREAS, the Central Government, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 4 of the said Act read with rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules 2006, notified the following areas at above Special Economic Zone as details given below in the table:- +---------+-------------------+--------------------+-----------------+--------------------+-----------------+ | Sl. Flextronics Technologies India Private Limited has now proposed for de- notification of 15.42 hectares from the above Special Economic Zone; AND, WHEREAS, the State Government of Tamil Nadu has given its approval to the proposal vide letter No. 871/MIB.1/2025-1 dated 10th November, 2025; AND, WHEREAS, the Development Commissioner, MEPZ Special Economic Zone has recommended the proposal for decrease in area of 15.42 hectares of the above the Special Economic Zone; AND, WHEREAS, the Central Government is satisfied that the requirements under sub-section (8) of section 3 of the said Act and other related requirements are fulfilled; NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by second proviso to sub-section (1) of section 4 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 and in pursuance of rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules, 2006, the Central Government hereby de-notifies an area of 15.42 hectares of the above Special Economic Zone, thereby making the total area of the Special Economic Zone as 60.72 hectares.
