The new entry describes National Highway No. 716B as a highway starting from its junction with NE-7 near Varadarajulapalle Village (Chittoor), connecting Varathuru and Kanikapuram in Andhra Pradesh, Kumarajapet in Tamil Nadu, Veera Kaveri Raja Puram in Andhra Pradesh, and Pondavakkam, before terminating at its junction with NH-716A near Kannigaipair in Tamil Nadu. The Schedule to the National Highways Act, 1956, was originally substituted by S.O. 689(E) dated April 4, 2011, and subsequently amended by S.O. 3828 dated August 20, 2025.
