Detailed Summary

The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, by notification S.O. 3689(E) dated 29th August 2024, recites that by an earlier notification dated 15th July 2024 issued under sub-section (1) of section 3A of the National Highways Act, 1956 (48 of 1956), the Central Government had declared its intention to acquire land for building (widening/four-laning etc.), maintenance, management and operation of NH347-B from Km 89.630 to Km 114 (Harsud) in Khandwa district, Madhya Pradesh, that the substance of the notification was published in the newspapers Dainik Bhaskar and Free Press both dated 25th July 2024 under sub-section (3) of section 3A, and that objections filed under Section 3C were considered and settled by the Competent Authority, whose report was thereafter submitted under sub-section (1) of section 3D; now, in exercise of powers under sub-section (1) of section 3D, the Central Government declares that the land specified in the Schedule shall be acquired, and under sub-section (2) of section 3D, that upon publication the land shall vest absolutely in the Central Government free from all encumbrances, with the Schedule listing survey/plot numbers, land type, area and owner names across villages including Khokriya, Roshni, Barakund, Salidhana, Patajan, Patalda, Langoti, Dabhia and Mendhapani in Khalwa Taluk, with a total acquisition area of 7.8831 hectares recorded in the schedule heading (F. No. Betul-Khandwa/DPR/Chw/2018/3D).

Betul -Khandwa/DPR/Chw/2018/3D ] MINISTRY OF ROAD TRANSPORT AND HIGHWAYS NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 29th August , 2024 S.O. 3689(E).—Whereas by the notification of the Government o f India in the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, 2762 Dated:15/07/2024 , published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub - section (ii) issued under sub -section (1) of section 3A of the National Highway Act, 1956 (48 of 1956) (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), the Central Government declared its intension to acquire the land specified in the Schedule annexed to the said notification for building (widening/four -laning, etc.), maintenance, management and operation of NH347 -B in the stretch of land from Km. 89.630 to Km. 114 (Harsud) in the district of KHANDWA in the state of MADHYA PRADESH And whereas the substance of the said notification has been published in “NewsPaper Dainik Bhaskar” and “Newspaper Free -Press” both dated 25/07/2024; under sub -section (3) of section 3A of the said Act; And whereas the Competent Authority has received objections filed under Section 3 -C, considered and settled the same appropriately; And whereas, in pursuance of sub -section (1) of section 3D of the said Act, the competent authority has submitted its report to the Central Government; Now, therefore, upon receipt of the said report of the competent authority and in exercise of the powers conferred by the sub -section (1) of section 3D of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that the land specified in the said Schedule should be acquired for the aforesaid purpose; And further, in pursuance of sub -section (2) of section 3D of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that on publication of this notification in the Official Gazette, the land specified in the said Schedule shall vest absolutely in the Central Government, free from all encumbrances.
