Detailed Summary

The Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, via Notification S.O. 3523(E) dated 29th July, 2025, and in exercise of powers conferred under Rule 16(1) of the Petroleum Rules, 2002, extends a previous notification. This action, taken in continuation of Government of India, Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways notification S.O. 3122(E) dated 2nd August, 2024, grants M/s Gujarat Chemical Port Limited permission to import petroleum into India by sea at Dahej Port in Gujarat. The extension is effective for a period from 1st June, 2025, to 23rd June, 2027, and must comply with operations permitted in Navigational Safety at Ports Committee (NSPC) certificate number NSPC/058/2023 dated 5th December, 2023. The extension is made in consideration of the necessity to import petroleum in public interest. The notification is signed by R. Lakshmanan, Jt. Secy. (SM).
