Concurrently, previous versions of these standards (IS 4263-1967, IS 5182 (Part 25): 2018, IS 6719-1972, and IS 14656: 1999) will remain in force until their withdrawal on September 20, 2026. Additionally, new standards are established without corresponding withdrawals, including IS 17614 (Part 27): 2026 (Water Quality - Sampling, Oceanic Carbon Dioxide System), IS 18066 (Part 4): 2026 and IS 18066 (Part 6): 2026 (Measurement of Radioactivity in Air - Radon-222), and IS 19627: 2026 and IS 19628: 2026 (Footwear — Critical Substances, Dimethylformamide and PAHs).
