NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 28th December, 2023
S.O. 5535(E).—Whereas the alignment for the six laning of Agra-Gwalior Section of NH-719D (New NH No. 44) from km 55.750 to km 88.200 in the State of Madhya Pradesh through Greenfield alignment along with construction of Interchanges, ROBs, minor bridges, culverts, service road, underpasses, cattle underpasses, drains, protection works, etc. (herein referred to as "project highway") has been approved by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways;
And whereas in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 2 of the National Highways Act, 1956 (48 of 1956), the Central Government has declared the said project highway to be a National Highway;
And whereas the Central Government is satisfied that for the public purpose, that is to say, for the development and maintenance of the said project highway, land specified in the Schedule to this notification is required to be acquired for the purpose of construction of the said project highway;
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 3A of the National Highways Act, 1956 (48 of 1956) (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), the Central Government hereby declares its intention to acquire the said land.
Any person interested in the said land may, within twenty-one days of the publication in the Official Gazette of this notification, object to the acquisition of the said land, or of any part thereof, and every objection shall be made to the competent authority appointed under sub-section (3) of section 3A of the said Act, in writing, and shall state the nature and extent of the interest of the objector in the land and the ground of objection, and the competent authority shall give the objector an opportunity of being heard either in person or by a legal practitioner and after hearing all such objections and after making such further enquiry, if any, as the competent authority thinks necessary, forward the case with its recommendations thereon, to the Central Government for its decision.
Any person interested in the land may, within the said period, submit to the competent authority, in writing, his consent to the acquisition of the land under section 3D of the said Act.
The particulars of the said land, comprising khasra/survey numbers, area of the land in each village, are described in the Schedule below.
