Modification of CGFSEL Scheme to reflect the revised list of participating RRBs

No. 18-2/2022CGFSEL.—This is in continuation of notification of Government of India, Ministry of Education, No.-18-1/2013-U.5(Vol.III) dated 16th September, 2015 published in Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part-I, Section I for notification of Credit Guarantee Fund Scheme for Education Loans (CGFSEL), and subsequent modification vide Government of India, Ministry of Education Notification dated 18th April, 2023 published in Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part-I, Section I for notification of inclusion of Regional Rural Banks (RRBs) as member lending Institutions (MLIs). 2. Pursuant to the reorganization of Regional Rural Banks (RRBs) undertaken by the Government of India, Ministry of Finance vide Notification No. 7/6/2024(1)-RRB dated 5th April, 2025 published in Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3-Sub-Section (ii) whereby certain RRBs have been merged and new entities have been constituted, the CGFSEL Scheme shall stand modified accordingly to reflect the revised list of participating RRBs. The following Regional Rural Banks (RRBs) shall henceforth be eligible institutions under the Credit Guarantee Fund Scheme for Education Loans (CGFSEL): 1. Andhra Pradesh Grameena Bank, 2. Jammu and Kashmir Grameen Bank 10. Jharkhand Gramin Bank 11. Karnataka Grameena Bank 12. Kerala Grameena Bank 13. Madhya Pradesh Gramin Bank 14. Maharashtra Gramin Bank 15. Manipur Rural Bank 16.
