Detailed Summary

The Bureau of Indian Standards, under the Department of Consumer Affairs, issues Notification Ref: HQ-PUB015/1/2020-PUB-BIS (1247) dated 22nd May, 2025. In pursuance of Sub-rule (1) of Rule (15) of the Bureau of Indian Standards Rules, 2018, the Bureau notifies that amendments to certain Indian Standards, as listed in the annexed schedule, have been established. The schedule details two amendments: Amendment No. 1 (May 2025) to IS 5975: 2020 (Raw Sugar - Specification (Second Revision)) and Amendment No. 1 (May 2025) to IS 17349: 2020 (Medical Textiles - Shoe Covers — Specification). Both amendments were established on 22 May 2025. For both standards, the standard without the amendment will remain in force until 21 November 2025.
