L.-33004/99 The Gazette of India CG-DL-E-29012025-260592 EXTRAORDINARY PART II-Section 3-Sub-section (i) PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 51] NEW DELHI, TUESDAY, JANUARY 28, 2025/MAGHA 8, 1946 MINISTRY OF RAILWAYS (Railway Board) NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 28th January, 2025 G.S.R. 80(E).β€”In exercise of the powers conferred by section 60 of the Railways Act, 1989 (24 of 1989) and section 18 of the Calcutta Metro Railway (Operations and Maintenance) Temporary Provisions Act, 1985 (10 of 1985), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Kolkata Metro Railway General Rules, 2019, namely:- 1. Short title and commencement. – (1) These rules may be called the Kolkata Metro Railway General (First Amendment) Rules, 2025. (2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. 2. In the Kolkata Metro Railway General Rules, 2019, in rule 105, in sub-rule (3), the following proviso shall be inserted, namely:- "Provided that a terminal block station where a sliding friction buffer stop of approved design has been provided for the line on which the train is to be received, such friction buffer stop shall be deemed to be efficient substitute for the adequate distance, with appropriate speed restriction under approved special instructions.”.
