The Central Government deems a further extension necessary. Consequently, Shri Justice Anil Verma's tenure in the concurrent charge of the Commissioner post is extended from 30th April, 2025, until his superannuation date on 15th March, 2026. This is in addition to his duties as a Judge of the High Court of Madhya Pradesh.

L.-33004/99 The Gazette of India CG-DL-E-28042025-262737 EXTRAORDINARY PART II—Section 3—Sub-section (ii) PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 1873] NEW DELHI, MONDAY, APRIL 28, 2025/VAISAKHA 8, 1947 MINISTRY OF CHEMICALS AND FERTILIZERS (Department of Chemicals and Fertilizers) NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 28th April, 2025 S.O. 1915(E).— Whereas by the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers number G.S.R.323(E), dated the 26th April, 2023, the Central Government in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 6 of the Anil Verma, sitting Judge of the High Court of Madhya Pradesh, to hold concurrent charge of the post of Commissioner for the welfare of the victims of the Bhopal Gas leak disaster for a period of one year with effect from date of assumption of charge of post on or after 30.04.2023 which was extended vide notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers number G.S.R.266 (E), dated the 30th April, 2024 for a period of one year. And whereas the Central Government considers it necessary to extend the tenure of the Commissioner for the Welfare of the victims of the Bhopal gas leak disaster by a further period with effect from the 30th April, 2025. Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 6 of the Bhopal gas leak disaster (Processing of Claims) Act, 1985, the Central Government hereby extends the tenure of Shri Justice Anil Verma, sitting Judge of the High Court of Madhya Pradesh to hold concurrent charge of the post of Commissioner for the welfare of victims of Bhopal gas leak disaster for a further period with effect from 30th April, 2025 till his superannuation on 15th March, 2026, in addition to his duties as a judge of High Court of Madhya Pradesh.
