NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 27th February, 2026
S.O. 1080(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (a) of section 3 of the National Highways Act,
1956 (48 of 1956), the Central Government hereby authorises the ADM(E), Dist.-Varanasi (K. m. 0.00 to 11.450
K.m.) and ADM(F&R), Dist.-Chandauli (K. m. 11.450 to 18.100 K.m.), as the competent authority to perform the
functions of such authority under the said Act with effect from the date of publication of this notification in the
Official Gazette, in respect of the stretch of land from Design Chainage Km 0+000 to Km 18+100 of the National
Highway Development of a Link/Connector Corridor connecting the National Highway-31 (NH-31), Varanasi Ring
Road and the New National Highway along the River Ganga for Decongestion of Varanasi City for building
(widening / two/four-laning, etc.), maintenance, management and operation in the State of (Ganga River Elevated
Corridor) as specified in the Schedule given below.
SCHEDULE
Acquisition of land in respect of National Highway Development of a Link/Connector Corridor connecting the
National Highway-31 (NH-31), Varanasi Ring Road and the New National Highway along the River Ganga for
Decongestion of Varanasi City (Ganga River Elevated Corridor) on the stretch from (Design Chainage
Km 0+000 to Km 18+100) in the State Uttar Pradesh.
