The Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Department of Commerce, Directorate General of Foreign Trade, issued Public Notice No. 19/2025-26 on 22nd August, 2025, in New Delhi. This notice, under F. No. 01/82/0016/AM-26/DES-III, is made in exercise of powers conferred under paragraph 1.03 of the Foreign Trade Policy-2023, as amended. It notifies two new Standard Input Output Norms (SIONs) for export products within the 'Chemical and Allied Product' group (Product Code-'A'). SION No. A-3693 specifies that for 1 Number of Minoxidil Topical Aerosol 5% (Foam) (60 gm. CAN), 3.06 gm. of Minoxidil USP is allowed as an import item. SION No. A-3694 specifies that for 1 kg. of Benfotiamine, 0.922 kg. of Thiamine Hydrochloride (Vitamin B1 HCL) is allowed as an import item. The purpose of these new SIONs is to enable Regional Authorities (RAs) to directly issue Advance Authorisation without referring individual cases to the Norms Committee, thereby expediting clearance and ensuring uniformity.
