Detailed Summary

The Central Government, in exercise of powers conferred by Clause (a) of Section 3 of the National Highways Act, 1956 (48 of 1956), issued a corrigendum (S.O. 2332(E)) on 26th May, 2025, to amend Notification No. S.O. 2734 (E) dated 8th November 2010, which was published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub Section (ii) on the same date. The amendment, made by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, substitutes the words and brackets "Special District Revenue Officer, Land Acquisition, National Highways, Pudukkottai" for the words "Special District Revenue Officer (Land Acquisition), National Highways, Ramanathapuram" in the Schedule to the said Notification S.O. 2734 (E). A footnote mentions that the Principal notification related to this matter was published vide number S.O. 3086 (E) dated 03rd December 2009 in the Gazette of India.

In exercise of powers conferred by Clause (a) of Section 3 of the National Highways Act, 1956 (48 of 1956), the Central Government hereby makes the following amendment in the Notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways No. S.O. 2734 (E) dated 8th November 2010, Published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub Section (ii), dated 8th November 2010- namely: In the Schedule to the said Notification S.O. 2734 (E), for the words, "Special District Revenue Officer (Land Acquisition), National Highways, Ramanathapuram", the words and brackets "Special District Revenue Officer, Land Acquisition, National Highways, Pudukkottai” shall be substituted.
