NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 25th February, 2025
S.O. 982(E). In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 19 of the Telecommunications Act, 2023 (44
of 2023), the Central Government hereby notifies the following standards and conformity assessment measures
applicable to specified Telecommunication Equipment, namely: -
1. Standards and Conformity Assessment: - In respect of the Telecommunication Equipment listed in the
second column of the Schedule annexed to this notification, the applicable standards shall be the Essential
Requirements notified by the Telecommunication Engineering Centre, as specified in the third column of the
said schedule;
2. The standards specified in the Schedule shall apply after expiry of one hundred and eighty days from the date
of this notification.
3. With effect from the date specified in paragraph 2, no person shall import, sell, distribute or use the
Telecommunication Equipment specified in Schedule, except in accordance with the Mandatory Testing and
Certification of Telecom Equipment measures as specified by the Telecommunication Engineering Centre.

Note: For the purpose of above Schedule, the latest version of Telecommunication Engineering Centre or National
Centre for Communication Security standards including the amendments issued thereof, as published and
notified by the Telecommunication Engineering Centre or National Centre for Communication Security from
time to time, shall be applicable from the date as notified by the Telecommunication Engineering Centre or
National Centre for Communication Security
