In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (a) of section 3 of the National Highways Act,1956 (48 of 1956), the Central Government hereby authorizes the Officer mentioned in column (2) of the schedule annexed here to as the Competent Authority to perform the functions of such Authority under the said Act with effect from the date of publication of this Notification in the Official Gazette, in respect of the stretch of land from design km 66+220 to km 66+ 340 (RHS) & km 66+405 to km 147+ 250 in East Jaintia Hills District for the Development, Maintenance, Management and Operation of Greenfield High-Speed Corridor of 166.80 km (NH-6) from Mawlyngkhung (near Shillong) in Meghalaya to Panchgram (near Silchar) in Assam.
