NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 25th February, 2025
S.O. 968(E). In exercise of the powers conferred by section 4 of the Tobacco Board Act, 1975 (4 of 1975),
the Central Government hereby appoints the following persons to be the members of the Tobacco Board and for that
purpose makes the following further amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the erstwhile
Ministry of Commerce (Tobacco Industry Development Control), number S.O.5417, dated the 17th Dece mber, 1975,
namely:-
In the said notification, under the heading, “Elected under clause (b) of sub – section (4) of section 4", for
serial numbers 2,3 and 4 and the entries relating thereto, the following serial numbers and entries shall be substituted,
namely: -
"2. Thiru D M Kathir Anand, Member (Elected by the Lok Sabha)
Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha)
3. Shri Putta Mahesh Kumar, Member (Elected by the Lok Sabha)
Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha)
4. Dr. K. Laxman, Member (Elected by the Rajya Sabha)".
Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha)
2. The term of office of the members shall be for a period of three years from the date of publication of this
notification in the Official Gazette or till they ceased to be a Member of the Parliament, whichever is earlier.
