DRAFT RULES 1. Short title and commencement. - (1) These rules may be called the Central Motor Vehicles (..... Amendment) Rules, 2024 (2) They shall come into force from the date of publication of the notification. 2. In the Central Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989, in rule 51A after sub-rule (ii), the following sub-rule shall be inserted, namely: (iii) up to fifty per cent, in case of all transport and non-transport vehicles which are manufactured as per Mass Emission Standards Bharat Stage I (BS-I) norms and earlier Mass Emission Standard norms and all medium & heavy goods motor vehicles and all medium & heavy passenger motor vehicles which are manufactured as per Mass Emission Standards Bharat Stage II (BSII) norms.
