NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 22nd December, 2025
S.O. 5946(E).— Whereas by notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Road Transport and
Highways number S.O. 2417(E) dated 5th October 2010 Central government has authorized M/s Larsen and Toubro
(L&T) Krishnagiri – Walajahpet Private Limited, (hereinafter referred to as the "Concessionaire") for
levying/collecting user fee for the project of Six laning of Krishnagiri – Walajahpet section of NH-48 (Old NH-46)
from Km. 0/000 to Km.148/300 in the state of Tamil Nadu.
And whereas, in the running BOT contract, National Highways Authority of India (hereinafter referred to as
the 'Authority') has developed an Elevated Corridor with viaduct length of 762m under Change of Scope in the
densely built-up area of Ambur town. A Settlement Agreement signed on 10th December 2025 between Authority and
Concessionaire for modalities of fee collection and authorizing the Concessionaire to collect the fee on behalf of the
Authority for the said elevated corridor.
Now, in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 8A of the National Highways Act, 1956 (48 of 1956),
read with Rule 3 of the National Highways Fee (Determination of Rates and Collection) Rules 2008, the Central
Government hereby authorises the Concessionaire to collect the fee on behalf of the Authority on Elevated Corridor
with viaduct length of 762m in accordance with the agreement entered into on 10th December 2025 between Authority
and Concessionaire and makes following amendment in the Notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of
Road Transport and Highways S.O. 2417(E) dated 5th October 2010 (hereinafter referred to as "said notification"),
published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii), namely:-
i. For Point No.2 of the said notification, the following point shall be substituted:-
"2. The fee to be levied and collected shall be due and payable at the following Fee Plazas for the net road length
as well as for structure length (exceeding 60m) converted to equivalent highway length by an equalization factor
of 10:-
