ORDER
New Delhi, the 22nd March, 2024
S.O. 1512 (E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 16 of the Bureau of Indian Standards Act,
2016 (11 of 2016), the Central Government, after consulting the Bureau of Indian Standards, is of the opinion that it is
necessary or expedient so to do in the public interest, hereby makes the following Order to amend the Aluminium and
Aluminium Alloy Products (Quality Control) Order, 2023, namely: -
1. (1) This order may be called the Aluminium amd Aluminium Alloy Products (Quality Control) Amendment
Order, 2024.
(2) It shall come into force on the date of its publication in the official Gazette.
2. In the Aluminium and Aluminium Alloy Products (Quality Co ntrol) Order, 2023 herein after referred to as
the said order, in Paragraph 1, for sub -paragraph (2), the following sub -paragraph shall be substituted, namely: -
“(2) It shall come into force with effect from the 26th September, 2024”;
3. In paragraph 2, of the said Order, for second and third provisos, the following provisos shall be substituted,
namely: -
“Provided further that nothing in this order shall apply to small enterprises as defined under the Micro, Small
and Medium Enterprises Development Act, 2006 (27 of 2006), until the 26th December, 2024:
“Provided also that nothing in this order shall apply to micro enterprises as defined under the Micro, Small
and Medium Enterprises Development Act, 2006 (27 of 2006), until the 26th March, 2025:
Provided a lso that nothing in this Order shall apply to the goods or articles imported up to two hundred kilograms for
the purpose of research and development by manufacturers of Aluminium products per year with the condition that;
(a) such imported goods and articl es shall not be sold commercially, and shall be disposed of as a scrap; and (b) the
manufacturer shall maintain year -wise record of such imported goods or articles and furnish the same, if so desired
by the Government authorities in its letter head duly si gned by its authorized signatory.
