NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 20th January, 2026
S.O.302.(E). In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (3) of section 3 of the Environment
(Protection) Act, 1986 (29 of 1986) and in pursuance of the notification of the Government of India in the erstwhile
Ministry of Environment and Forests, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub -section
(ii), vide number S.O. 1533(E), dated the 14th September, 2006, the Central Government hereby makes amendment in
the notification of the Government of India, in the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, published in
the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii), vide number S.O. 135 (E), dated the 7th January,
2025(herein after referred to as said notification), namely:
1. In the said notification, in paragraph 1, for serial number (iii) and the entries relating thereto, the following serial
number and entries shall be substituted, namely:
(iii) Secretary or Special Secretary, Housing and Environment Department, -Member Secretary.",
Nava Raipur Atal Nagar
2. In the said notification, in paragraph 4,-
(i) under the heading, 'State Level Expert Appraisal Committee-1', for serial number (vi) and the entries
relating thereto, the following serial number and entries shall be substituted, namely:
(vi) Special Secretary or Joint Secretary or Deputy Secretary, Housing and
Environment Department or Member Secretary, Chhattisgarh
Environment Conservation Board, Government of Chhattisgarh, Nava
Raipur Atal Nagar
-Member Secretary.",
(ii) under the heading, 'State Level Expert Appraisal Committee-2', for serial number (vi) and the entries
relating thereto, the following serial number and entries shall be substituted, namely:
(vi) Special Secretary or Joint Secretary or Deputy Secretary, Housing and
Environment Department or Member Secretary, Chhattisgarh
Environment Conservation Board, Government of Chhattisgarh, Nava
Raipur Atal Nagar
-Member Secretary.",
(iii) under the heading, 'State Level Expert Appraisal Committee-3', for serial number (vi) and the entries relating
thereto, the following serial number and entries shall be substituted, namely:
(vi) Special Secretary or Joint Secretary or Deputy Secretary, Housing and
Environment Department or Member Secretary, Chhattisgarh
Environment Conservation Board, Government of Chhattisgarh, Nava
Raipur Atal Nagar
-Member Secretary.",
3. In the said notification, in paragraph 5, under the table, against the sl. No.3, in column (3), after entry
"Sukma", the entry "Raipur” shall be inserted.
