The Ministry of Railways (Railway Board), under the authority of Section 67 and Section 87 of the Railways Act, 1989 (24 of 1989), has issued G.S.R. 769(E) on 21st October, 2025, in New Delhi. This notification establishes the Railways Red Tariff (Second Amendment) Rules, 2025, which will come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. These rules amend the Railways Red Tariff Rules, 2000, by inserting 'Liquefied Ethane' into Table II, column (1), under the sub-heading "Liquid Gases." Correspondingly, 'T-75 ISO Container' is to be inserted in column (4), under the sub-heading "Exceptional or Additional packing Rules," specifically for 'Liquefied Ethane.' The principal rules were initially published vide G.S.R. 266, dated 15th July, 2000, and were last amended by notification number G.S.R.719(E) dated 26th September, 2025. (1) These rules may be called the Railways Red Tariff (Second Amendment) Rules, 2025. (2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. 2. In the Railways Red Tariff Rules 2000, in the Table II, in column (1), under the sub heading "Liquid Gases", the item 'Liquefied Ethane', may be inserted and correspondingly in column (4), under the sub heading "Exceptional or Additional packing Rules", the item 'T-75 ISO Container' shall be inserted for 'Liquefied Ethane' [F.
